Would you like some Psychotronic with your Coffee?
To all you movie junkies – on Wednesday, April 7 at 8pm, Psychotronic Films will present Fortress of the Dead (Philippines, 1965), a twisted, Twilight Zone-esque tale of a deranged American GI who returns to a battlefield to confront the ghosts of his past.
If you’re unfamiliar with pshychotronic films, its a genre made up of horror films, spaghetti westerns, low-budget independent features and exploitation films (thanks Wikipedia). This may be a cool way to check one out. I like them because they are a little more artistic than your typicial Hollywood studio flick. And for $5, you can’t really go wrong. I’ve ever seen this one before but I hope it’s a good one.
Place: The Sentient Bean (13 E. Park Ave.)
